I received an email that says it is from SouthPoint. How do I know if it is legitimate?
▪ Always check the email address, not the name, of the sender. Emails from SouthPoint Bank should contain "@southpoint.bank". Most emails from Online Banking come from onlinesupport@southpoint.bank or noreply@southpoint.bank.
▪ Check to see what the email is requesting. SouthPoint Bank will NEVER request personal information by email or text messaging including account number, passwords, personal identification information or any other confidential customer information.
▪ Emails from SouthPoint Bank should request you to login to Online Banking through your normal methods: Either through the mobile app or www.southpoint.bank. You should never click a link in an email.

I received an email saying my online banking password will expire. Do I need to change this password?
Your Online Banking password is set to expire after 180 days. Changing your passwords regularly help keep your accounts secure.
To change your password, walk through the steps below:
1. Login to Online Banking through the bank's website.
2. Click "Self Service"

3. Click "User Information"

4. Click the Pencil icon next to the password at the top

5. Type your current password and new password, then click “Submit”

6. Be sure to remember your new password and use it next time you login.
